So close, yet so far...

We have been in our house for almost a year. How did that happen?! We feel so blessed and truly love our home. The issue we're having is "finishing" a whole room. So, this is my point, opinions on the dining room please! We need a bigger rug and some pops of color. Also, I'm crazy and like to have the table set. Ideas for that? I'm thinking teal/aqua since that's the color we have throughout the house! Advice, GO!!!

Thanksgiving 2012

We enjoyed our first Thanksgiving in our new home in 2012. Janet and Keith, Rob's parents, joined us as well as our friend and neighbor, Ben. It was nice to have help in the kitchen (as opposed to this year) and fun company. We mixed in a few traditions from both of our families and it was a delight. We finished the evening with desserts over at our besties house and we had WAY too much pie!

The building of our very first home sweet home of our own!

We bought our very first home last December!!!! We decided it was the right time for our little family to buy and after a few short months of looking, we found our perfect home! We debated between buying a spec home that was already built or picking a lot and building. We chose to build! It all worked out so perfectly with timing and all. We are loving life in our new home and absolutely loved working with our awesome realtor and Elliott Homes! I was the annoying girl during construction that came by the "job site" to check out the progress at least twice a day. Luckily for the builders, we lived just one short mile from our new home... so stopping by was easy:) They started construction in January and we have been in since mid April. The development we bought in was new and there were only two houses when we purchased. We figured it would be awhile before it filled up and boy were we wrong! Our whole street is filled with awesome new neighbors! We feel so blessed with this new chapter and our loving every second of it. Now....come visit us!!!

P.S. check out Elliott Homes, not sure if all of them are energy efficient but our community is and we LOVE it! Solar panels and tankless water heater= way better bills!!!
