Olivia's 1st Birthday

Somehow my baby turned 1! Olivia was born on the 4th of July so I thought that we should have a patriotic themed 1st birthday. It was so fun planning it and although I waited and started planning her party late, I'm really happy with how it turned out. The best part was that I didn't stress and my baby was surrounded by people that love her so much! We had a family gathering at our house, had lunch, did a pinata in the desert heat, opened all the gifts she was spoiled with, did cake and treats, visited, and then went to the water park! It was a great day for my babe!
Olivia looking like the angel she is in her custom Dreamcatcher Baby dress!

I was in LOVE with these amazing cookies from Snickerdoodle Sweets & Events. She even made a cookie of Olivia's party dress!!!!

Her smash cake ended up being a little bigger than planned! I got lazy and didn't want to stress about making her cake so I ordered a plain white cake from Sam's Club. You should have seen the looks I got from the workers when explaining that I wanted it ALL PLAIN WHITE, nothing on it at all!
My most favorite lollipops form Candied Cakes. They had little gold stars in them!
Cupcakes were mini cupcakes from Sprinkles with red, blue, and silver stars.
I had the camera out for guests to take polaroids with Liv for her to keep! We also had sparklers, poppers, bubbles, and POP ROCKS! Yummm and so fun!

Open adoption is amazing! We loved LOVED loved having Olivia's birth mom Amanda and her husband Jimmy there to celebrate with us! They are forever our family!
Besties! Ruby and Olivia! 8 months apart!
How awesome is the pinata?! It was a disney frozen pinata that my bestie, Melanie, re-vamped for me to match the party! A party is not a party without a pinata!!!

Some of my awesome family that came from California to celebrate!
Besties! Missing Max and Ruby though, Ruby was napping!
Our desert family!

I was SHOCKED at how careful she was with her cake at first!

Guys....my husband constantly entertains me! Here he is being him and poor Liv has no clue!
Sweet angel girl, I love being not only a mommy but YOUR mommy! You are my greatest joy.
Daddy gets the best smiles from our girl! She loves him so darn much!
I can't believe I didn't get Bear a pair of Chuck's
Successful 1st birthday for little Olivia!

Disney Day

We decided as part of our celebration for Olivia turning 1 we would go to Disneyland. When Amanda's
(Olivia's birth mom) water broke Rob and I were at Disneyland so we thought it was appropriate! We renewed our annual passes which made it nice for us to not feel rushed. I know a lot of people say to wait until your kids are older before taking them to the park but we totally disagree! It was so fun watching Olivia soak it all in. She absolutely loved the parades, food, rides, and of course the people watching. She was serenaded for her birthday, given her first rose, enjoyed a birthday cupcake, hated astro blasters, and had a ghirardelli sundae! Olivia was a show stopper too and made lots of new friends/admirers! We were able to spend some time with cousin Jazmin who just moved back down to Southern California. Next time we go with others, I'll explain the way to do disney using their switch pass, it is awesome! Here's to my baby!

Olivia loved making friends in line!

Watching the parade and dancing along!
Birthday love!

I let her start on the cupcake before realizing they were going to sing to her! Whoops!
Watching the All-American College Band

We LOVE disney!!!
