If you are ever in the D.C. area, you must visit Mount Vernon. Mount Vernon was George Washington's home and it is amazing. I f you ever decide to go please let me know, I am pimping my mother in-law out to be your tour guide. She is amazing and knows almost all there is to know about Washington and his digs at Mt. Vernon.
