East Coast 2013 Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

We were able to spend some time on the east coast with both of our parents and it was a dream! We started the trip off with a visit to Gettysburg where they were celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg and President Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. We have been to Gettysburg before but not quite like this. They had reenactments of the battle and tons of fun booths and games. It's always fun to tour these historic sights with Janet and Keith (Rob's parents) as our tour guides, they know their stuff!
We love Abe!
It really was the greatest thing ever to travel with both of our parents!
Keith explaining the beauty we were looking at that was once full of civil war soldiers
Love these historic towns and buildings

Pulled pork sandwiches, very civil war-esque
The scenery in Gettysburg is dreamy

Janet and Keith are great in-laws!
I love the fire coming from the cannon
My Dad is a sucker for any kind of booth, this happened to be a homemade root beer one
How cute are the glass bottles?!
We had a great time walking the historic town of Gettysburg and the cute shops.
