Eiffel Tower

La Tour Eiffel
This event gets a post all to itself! Getting to the top of la Tour Eiffel was quite the experience to say the least! Our first attempt failed after waiting in line for almost an hour. We decided to leave and come another time because it turned out the employees were on strike. Then later that afternoon, the Tower re-opened but Parisian Emergency Response Teams were doing a "simulation", so we opted out of the hustle and bustle to return the next day. The following day, we thought third times a charm, right? Wrong! It was CROWDED as all heck! So we went about our day enjoying beautiful Paris and when we passed the Tower that afternoon, we saw a much shorter line! We hopped in line and braved the cold and wind! As we took the elevator up the first portion of the Tower we could hear the wind howling outside. We got up to the first part and anxiously hurried to the next elevator to get to the very top. All I have to say is SCARY! I have done the Tower a few times before but boy oh boy, this was different. I have never ever ever felt such strong winds! After the fear settled a little we were able to go to the edge and enjoy the amazing views we had from the most amazing place we were standing! I am so glad we finally made it to the top, it was a WILD RIDE!
Just a little excited!
Pretty flowers and pretty tower!
Carousel
Bundled up enjoying Paris!
Scary going up!
First level, not too bad!

Success!
Enjoying our Eiffel Tower shaped candy at the top of the Tower!
