Day 1
Amsterdam
We arrived in Amsterdam on a very important day, Queen's Day, the biggest party day in the country! It is a holiday in which the Netherlands celebrates the Queen's birthday! The streets were packed with people having nothing but fun, not an unhappy person to be found! When we got to the airport we were not only met by my cousin Jonas, who just moved there, but my beautiful cousin Jenelle as well! Jenelle and her boyfriend Dan flew out from Vancouver, B.C. to join in the fun and surprise us! We were thrilled to be with family and friends on European soil! The six of us had such a great day seeing all the festivities for Queen's Day, visiting the Anne Frank House, walking along the canals, and enjoying an amazing tapas dinner! It was a great start to our trip. Thank you so much to my beautiful cousins Jonas and Jenelle as well as Dan and Mark for a perfect visit!
