Europe 2014: Barcelona

We kicked off our Europe trip in Barcelona! What a great place to start. As I sit here and upload pictures my heart is so full. This trip was so unique. It's not often we get to travel to such fun places together with our family AND it's not often that we get to travel with the brand new knowledge that our child is finally coming to join our family and that she is coming to us through the most amazing birthmomma ever! I can't believe how it all played out. God has the BEST plans for each one of us! sorry, sidetracked a little! This trip will forever be so special to us.

Barcelona Day 1
We arrived early in the morning and headed over to our apartment we found through airbnb.com They were so helpful and the location was great. We grab some stuff for the day and headed out to explore. We spent our first day exploring and enjoying La Boqueria, the famous public market right off famous La Rambla.
Enjoying all the beautiful architecture!
We found a little playground at the mall!
Entrance into La Boqueria, our favorite!
Hello, jetlag!
I love marzipan,,,
....but I love gummy candy even more. Heaven!
Casa Batllo by Gaudi
This is one of my favorite buildings. Look at the colors, gorgeous!

Barcelona Day 2
Our second day was jam packed! We had a private tour guide and we loved him! He picked us up from our apartment and we spent the day touring major sights with him. Our day included Park Guell, La Sagrada Familia, Montjuic, Camp Nou (where FC Barcelona plays), and of course La Boqueria again!

I love this gorgeous park
These brothers of mine are the best!

I REALLY love my people
These two cracked me up the whole trip with their GoPros
Six years married to this guy and I have loved every second of it!
I love this picture! Complete with bad lighting, Grandma's hand in the corner, and tourists all around!

Gaudi's work is so legit!

I sat and watched these cute kids play soccer for a bit and it was hilarious. I love how popular soccer is in Europe. These kids were so so good and they were like 5 and 6 years old! You should have seen them fake an injury, classic.

I had no idea La Sagrada Familia is going to be so HUGE! It looks like they are restoring it when in reality it is still under construction. I can't wait to go when it is complete!

The deatil gets me

Inside the church. So unique!

This is the door as you exit La Sagrada Familia. I love the highlighted words!

Cutest parents eva!

Owning the streets of Barcelona

Camp Nou!!!
THE. BEST.
We were loving it!!!

Back to the market we go! I was not a fan of the ham but it was fun to serve it!

We might have tried every flavor....

Tired girls!
They were having too much fun on our metro trips

Barcelona Day 3
Our last day was spent shopping, feeding pigeons, exploring Barri Gotic, and more shopping!

I love these pictures! The reality of traveling! Taking a stretch break and guidebook check!

This restaurant was so good and we loved their tapas! My mouth is watering now thinking of it. FYI, its always busy so get there early if you go!
