SFO to Shanghai

In the beginning of January I was able to go to Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong! I went with my Grandma and brother Bryan to the first two cities and then my brother Willi met us in Hong Kong! Rob has been in training in South Carolina so sadly he could not go. This was such a special and unique trip because my Grandma and Grandpa are from Hong Kong and my Mom and her siblings were born there. Also, we were there for Chinese New Year aka Spring Festival. I loved loved loved getting a taste of Asia and am so ready to explore it some more!
This was the night before our flight, posing...
Leaving for the airport
I was kinda excited!

The first morning we woke up in Shanghai, a little foggy

Loved the huge lotus flower

The Chinese love their Red and they love goldfish!

Loved all the lanterns!

Loved the peacock too!
This guy cut a picture of Rob and I out of 1 sheet of paper, it was hilarious! He even gave us asian eyes!
We then went to the top of the Jin Mao To see some amazing views of Shanghai

Inside you could look down, super high
My pearl I fished out!
I ran into Jackie there

Next stop, Monument to the People's heroes

The Bund and Huangpu River

Cool stuff at Shanghai Museum in People's Square

Loved the stairs in the museum
So different! The men were loading the crates of oranges onto their little bike things then transporting them...look closely at the bikes!
Lunch on the bund

Nanjing Road, one of the world's busiest shopping streets!
Yummy drink

The Bund lit up

Our first experience of China traffic. We thought this was bad but it was nothing compared to Beijing!
