D.C. Trip

Our retreat while away
This is Janet and Keith's cute house! We had so much fun visiting them and can't wait to go back. There house is adorable and Janet has somethings I am eyeing inside!
The Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery & The "Mall"
So we started off our busy trip at The Pentagon, but for some reason no photos were allowed?! It was really cool to see all the uniformed men and women. I loved the crowdedness of the place and all the shops! It was really neat to see where Keithy works too! After we finished up looking at all the cool things there we ate and headed to Arlington. It was an interesting place to visit. It was sad but so amazing at the same time. After walking around there and seeing the tomb of the unknown soldier, we headed to the "mall" for some more sightseeing. We saw all the memorials and monuments and even played along the way. Janet and I had a blast playing with all the ice on the ground! This day was such an amazing day. It was very very cool to see how many men and women serve and have served our great nation. I have never been more proud to be AMERICAN!

D.C. Temple
The temple was closed for cleaning but it was absolutely gorgeous on the outside and I can only imagine the beauty within that temple. We will have to go for sure on our next trip.
Gettysburg
I'm not the history buff my husband is and so Gettysburg was not on his list of things for us to do. For some reason though, I wanted to go and boy am I glad we did! Gettysburg was my favorite sightseeing thing we did. I loved it! It was neat to think of all that went on there and all that came from it. The town itself is darling and we really had a fantastic day there. We topped the day off by watching the movie at home that night!
