Our visit from Matt

We had a last minute, super fun visit from Matt! It was so nice to have him in our home and spend time with him. Matt is such a wonderful guy and we can't wait to see him again soon!

Draper Temple Open House

Zach, Cristi, Rob and I went to the Draper Temple open house after a yummy dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. We barely made it to the temple because there were so many people there. The temple was absolutely amazing, beautiful and bright. We loved it and even loved squeezing on the bus to fit everybody on. Good times good times!

The Pepper concert

We love the band Pepper and were so stoked when we found out they were coming to Park City! Rob, Casey and I went to the concert and had so much fun. We got there early so while we were waiting we met a very interesting fellow who was also planning on going. He had a few drinks in him and was insistent that he was going to the "topper" concert, not the "pepper" concert, it was hilarious. He was a huge fan of Casey and it was quite entertaining to watch him talk to Casey. The concert was so fun they put on a great show and the two opening bands were awesome too. We were front row so we were up close and personal! At the end of the show I was pulled on stage and was able to get some great pictures!

Alaskan Inn!

Rob and I spent an amazing winter weekend in the canyon in Ogden, yes....Ogden. I was not quite sure what to expect before we arrived. We first went to the Salt Lake Temple on the way and it was so beautiful. It was our first time and we loved it. When we finally got to the Alaskan Inn I was very impressed. The lobby was super cute and they had a lot of fun things like candles and robes (its a bed & breakfast). We stayed in one of the cabins that all have different themes, ours was the "Orca" cabin. When we walked in our room there was very calming whale and ocean music playing softly in the background. There was a beautiful mural on the wall behind the jacuzzi tub and a bottle of sparkling cider waiting for us too. We went to dinner at The Timbermine, my new favorite place, after shopping at the Rainbow Gardens. The whole weekend was amazing and Ogden turned out to be pretty darn nice!!!

Log Haven

Yay yay yay to Rob! Its official, Rob has his degree! To celebrate his achievement Janet took us to a beautiful restaurant in Mill Creek Canyon called Log Haven. Anyone looking for a great place to eat in Utah, I highly recommend it! They have won so many awards for their food and especially their ambiance.

Skiing and Boarding at Park City!

When Janet (my favorite mother-in-law!) came to visit for Christmas we had to go skiing because she loves the Utah snow! We went to Park City and had a full day of fun with perfect weather. We were accompanied by Carole, Amanda, Rachel (my partner down the slopes!), Aleyna, Steve, Sandra, Casey and Zach! Poor Carole broke her bindings and had to have ski patrol bring her down the mountain. Then while leaving the little girls room she slipped and broke three ribs....ouch!!!!! She was a tuff cookie though!
